I ended up in this beautiful park several times during my visit to Grenoble. It was very relaxing just to watch the flowers and the surrounding old buildings for some moments before continuing to explore the city.
While wandering the streets of Grenoble we stumbled upon Place Victor Hugo, much to our delight. There are restaurants and stores surrounding the park, yet you can escape from the busy pace of the city by wandering in and gazing at the fountain. Very pleasant.
