We paid a short visit to this museum after having gone to the teleferic. Nice seasonal and permanent expositions. I particularly liked the paintings of Guétal from the region of Grenoble.

Grenoble is a beautiful town on his own, but I was really surprised by the Museum bold design and breadth of collections. There are masterpieces from great painters, but also a great collection of sculptures. The museum deserves half a day of your time, you...More

Art is my passion, so I couldn´t refrain from visiting this museum. It is a modern, clean, elegant and beautiful display of great artists (some of them locals). Don´t miss the archaeological display of Palmyra portraits and Egyptian artefacts.

This was an accidental find, and a great way to spend the afternoon. I was shocked at how large this gallery was, filled with decades of painting, sculptures, and ancient artifcacts. Well worth a visit.

This museum has nice ,friendly staff and the art was amazing. It is not like visiting some art galleries in London that have a snobbery about them. It is quite the opposite and feels more welcoming and down to earth like the locals of Grenoble....More

The first thing to notice is the architecture of the building itself -- modern, clean lines, an invitation to the art. But once inside the architecture complements the art, unlike some museums where the building is the experience instead of the art itself. Spend a...More

I guess I did not know that a (relatively) small town would possess such treasures as Renoir, Delacroix, Picasso, Warhal, Monet, Gaugin, Matisse and then a bit of archeology as well. The museum, itself, is an art piece with sculpted staircases, large flowing rooms and...More

First, the museum is an architectural gem. Second the exhibition has impressive pieces very well presented. Everything at the right place. Third, high quality guided tours. And finally, don’ t miss the café bistro when you finish your tour.
