This was an incredible day hike. We rode the gondola to Le Flegre and then hiked from there. Took us about an hour to get to the lake and about a half hour back down after we stopped at the top for a picnic lunch....More

We were lucky that the Flegere lift was working late in September, this will leave you with only around 500m of ascent to get to the Lac. On leaving the lift station check the time of the last lift and make sure you have enough...More

This hiking tour is perfect. Take the cable car to Flagiere, and hike from here. Or continue up to L Index, and hike from there. This summer the hut was closed, but the view was still there. An option is to walk back by the...More

Enjoyed the hike the first part of the day when it was sunny and a few clouds. Took the La Flegere tram up and hiked trail 11 across to Lac Blanc. The clouds were swirling up from the valley so the views of Mont Blanc...More

This is a MUST do - the views are incredible - there is a little cafe near the lake where you can get delicious hot chocolates.

This was my second time hiking up to this vista. The first time was during a rainy day, and there were no crowds. The second time was on a beautiful sunny days and the trail was like a crowded freeway. I would recommend hiking here...More

Nice views, great hike with a view on Mont Blanc. I recommend it to everybody. The hut is closed on summer (at least it was closed when we were there).

This isn't an easy walk, I would rate it moderate, despite seeing lots of families with quite young children who can't have found it easy as it takes longer than signposted. It was quite crowded at the lake itself which isn't very big, but the...More

Lac Blanc is an absolutely beautiful place to which to walk. Sadly, this year the Refuge is closed due to a dispute. Fabulous views across to Mont Blanc and the Mer de Glace with the iconic descent down the ladders to Argentière to end a...More

I didn't see any dogs on the hike and would not attempt it. Some edges are too steep. It would definite be a challenge in my opinion! 🐶🙃

It took us 4.5 hours altogether from when we got on the cable car at flegere to when we returned to Chamonix car park. 3.5 hours were walking between flegere and and Lac Blanc and back.
