Lovely restored French Castle above the old town of Annecy. A short walk from the town will get you to this impressive building. Houses a museum.

Nice little museum. Small exhibits of archaeology, ecology, Lake Annecy, etc. Has potential to be much better. Best thing about this museum are the views of the lake and downtown. First Sunday of the month is FREE from Oct to May. 10-12am, 2-5pm.

I loved the way this old castle stands proudly above the old city of Annecy; it’s easy to picture what this city might have been like in the Renaissance or Medieval times. I saw good reviews about the Chateau on here so I planned to...More

We only paid for the courtyard visit not the full chateaux. There is an interesting exhibition showing Lake Annecy from all perspectives, history, geological formation, fishing, tourism, flora and fauna etc.. but the best part is the stunning views of the town with the mountain...More
