This was a port from our cruise, we spent 1/2 day, the port is lovely, picturesque with many wonderful streets to walk around and enjoy food and shops. A number of seaside restaurants for a leisure lunch of clams or other delight. Easy access to...More

But beware of normal traffic and also a tourist "train" thing that comes by pretty frequently. The roads were fairly bumpy, but were navigable by wheelchair. The town was very pretty. Fun to see the giant boats and the tiny boats in the harbor all...More

Located on the right-hand side edge of Villefranche when facing the sea, enjoy the views over the Old Harbour from the 16th century old Citadel.

I visited here briefly 4 years ago, and never really explored the area but this time stayed and we both just love it ! Nice is just too big, Monaco to crazy ! Get a water front view from your room and relax.

We loved our visit to Villenfranche-Sur-Mer and the Old Harbour. It is such a beautiful place. Both places are within a short walk of one another. The walk between the two clings the coastline and provides some really stunning views. There are lots of wonderful...More

We were here on a miserable day--cold rain and fierce wind. We had a little free time to walk around and wish that we had a full day, but we had tours planned and we had to eat some lunch. This is a docking site...More

We walked through the Harbor last week. Easy to walk around, with a lot of interesting things to see. Much easier to do than Nice. There is a beach, restaurants, and shopping within a 1/2 mile or so. It's a perfect place if you are...More

What a fabulous little town to walk around, ending in the old port, it's a must with several port side restaurants to while away lunchtime people watching, select your restaurant with care though as some are pricey with poor portions.

Take time out to visit the old harbour. Its a nice walk around there. There's some park benches where you can sit and watch the mariners at work. Lovely on a nice day

When you walk around the old fortress La Citadelle, you end up in this yacht harbour. Not the place for glamourous ones but for the average people which makes it so down to earth and nice. Some good and affordable eating places and a beautiful...More

Stay there for some days and you'll see. I was there for a week and it was crowded with cruise tourists only one afternoon.
