I loved this church for several reasons...it is tiny and the art work on the wall is incredible. I think I paid 3 euros for admission. A bargain! The church is located in one of my favorite villes on the cote d'azur....Villefranche-sur-Mer. I went to...More

My advice is not to research this little church and just enter as we did. Quite special...but only disappointment was not being able to photograph (the excuse given, that it is owned by the fisherman, was a bit strange).

I honestly wasn’t particularly impressed by this chapel’s artwork. There is some nice work with colours (turquoise in particular) on the side which stands in front of the main door but, apart from that, nothing that made me think this was particularly worth the entrance...More

This little chapel is an excellent example of Jean Cocteau art. It's a little gem in a wonderful village. East my to find and cheap to see inside. A must do if you visit the village.

Travelled to Villefranche from Nice just to visit the chapel, but as I am interested in Jean Cocteau it was a must see. Very small but a total one off experience, totally unique.

This ancient chapel belongs to the local fishermen and is I still used on for special feast days. I was deeply moved by the simplicity his line drawings of fishermen and women. Subtle colours creating air and light and joy. Recommended if you love art....More

Kids are free and 3 euro per adult seems fair to keep this place looking so pristine. Some wonderful chalk pictures of various scenes in the life of St Peter...it's worth lingering a little while as there is something about the eyes of the characters...More
