The walk through was quick and we saw what we wanted to see.... W.W. Ellis. Sadly many graves and headstones need to be repaired or cared for a little more.

There is a fanfastic view from the cemetery and some very interesting graves including British and Russian. Outside there is a large viewpoint with historical info about old Menton.

The Old Cemetery is fascinating for a sense of 19th century history. Many British and Russian aristocrats came to Menton in the late 19th century and many died here, some with TB. The place is peaceful and the views are spectacular.

It’s a steep climb to the top, but worth every step. A knock-out view of Menton, my favourite Cote d’Azur town, and a very beautiful cemetary almost lulls you into a religious mood. Pure beauty! Cosmic!

The cemetary is on top of the old town where the castle used to be and has a tremendous view of the beaches and the new town. The cemetery itself has a number of interesting tombs and burial houses.
