Lots of bars in this area. A few have happy hour daily, which great because if you like a pint beer in Avignon is about 6 Euros in most bars/restaurants.

Just next to Les Halles - a great coffee stop . Fantastic Brocante there every Tuesday & Thursday . The best little supermarket ( Carrefour ) is also there . Just a stone 's throw from the Palais des Papes .

I love the mingling of tourists and locals that you find here on any given day. Relax at one of the many restaurants, shop with the vendors, enjoy authentic Avignon life.

Great food/drink shopping in Les Halles. Lovely place to sit in the sun in this square on a cold day and drink hot wine while soaking up local life
