We've done this walk before, several years ago. The magic hasn't worn off. Of course things have changed, the yellow house was bombed out of existence during the Second World War, still you can recognise the railway bridge to the right of where the house...More

Interesting to see where Van Gogh painted certain pictures in the area, but some sites are completely unrecognisable.

Outstanding interpreter from the visitor center. The lady who gave the tour was an expert on every aspect of Van Gogh and his time in Arle. Make every effort to make this the first experience you have in Arle.

I printed off a map off the internet which included all of the Van Gogh stops. The map wasn't the best so I had to use my phone also to get to the destinations. All the destinations were numbered so I plotted my route and...More

To retrace Vincent’s steps and art subjects was a dream come true. Fantastic experience, Cafe by Night was truly special.

We visited Arles today, as part of a week-long break based at Saint Rémy de Provence. Our 8-year-old daughter is very taken with Van Gogh’s life story and artworks, and we are generally interested in art, so we had always planned to follow the Van...More

We visited the places where Van Gogh was and could see reproductions of his paintings in the different sites such as the hospital or the yellow cafe!

Catch a regional bus from Arles to Saint-Rémy de Provence, then walk the 1.9km to Saint Paul de Mausole. If you catch a bus that travels over the Alpilles (eastern route from Arles), not only will you see spectacular... More
