We visited Arles today, as part of a week-long break based at Saint Rémy de Provence. Our 8-year-old daughter is very taken with Van Gogh’s life story and artworks, and we are generally interested in art, so we had always planned to follow the Van...More

We visited the places where Van Gogh was and could see reproductions of his paintings in the different sites such as the hospital or the yellow cafe!

The walk guides pedestrians through the sites connected with Van Gogh in Arles. Well organized and with with reproductions of the pertinent paintings at the sites. Some sites have disappeared or are very different from the original, but others are remarkably famiiar.

Walk through Arles in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh, Amazing to see how much is prepared from his time in Arles and how he saw and has visualised what we can see today.

Don't miss it!! If you're a Van Gogh lover you must walk through Arles and visit the inspiration for each Vincent Van Gogh painting. There is a replica of the painting at each site which makes for a nice photo op.

Van Gogh did about 300 paintings of this city and its people. The landmarks are often recognizable just by remembering some of the locations in the paintings. You can take a guided walk or you can stop by the Tourist Office for a map and...More
