This is a beautiful park and totally connected with the history of the area. It has a stunning statue of King Francois at the entrance and is a beautiful place just to sit and watch people and the world go by. Lovely park.

Originally a hunting forest for Francois Premier. great for dog walking, well signposted pathways, around 5km of walks. Also has riverside walk for several kilometres. Plenty of wildlife deer, foxes and many bird species.

Make sure to stroll through this lovely Parc Francois 1er during your stay in Cognac. There are aviaries, goats, gorgeous flower beds, pagodas, lakes, fountains, and children's play areas. A Beautiful Park

Or so the legend goes. This park contains several walking trails, and boasts a diversity of flora and fauna. We saw boats on the river, so it must be accessible by water somehow. Runners, this park is a must-visit.
