One of the most visited monuments in Rouen. Situated right in the centre of old city, surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants

It's nice to daly along this street in Rouen. It's a mixture of well known brands and unique local establishments and mostly seems very busy. Take the time to go down the side streets and alleys. If you want photographs then go before the shops...More

My wife and I walked by this treasure several times during our stay, but unfortunately it was closed each time. The clock is lovely and I really would have liked to see its inner workings.

Interest is the history since it was a major step for a commune to be granted the right to have a belfry and town clock as opposed to the church establishing the time.

The clock face is very beautiful and well worth seeing. You can take the 30 mins to climb the winding staircase to get a city view. It was a very cold day so we didn't go up.

This is a wonderful quiet street down which to walk. It is lined with interesting shops of all kinds. Even though it often is full of tourists, it does not seem as ticky-tacky and touristy as one might expect. After searching fruitlessly in Paris for...More

This place is a masterpiece. Very badly attended today by so many refugees and merchants of poor quality products. It is a pity to see how deteriorated the place became. Dirty of any kind.

We wandered round the old town, to one side of our hotel and then the other down Rue du Gros Horloge. It's interesting, and the clock is spectacular, but it felt a little less safe than other parts of the historic centre.
