If you find yourself in Le Havre, this memorial is worth a stop. It doesn’t take much time and really is in the center of the city. It’s easily accessible and a very nice memorial and dedication.

The war memorial is quite thought provoking and grandiose. The view on one side is the water bassin with bridge, the other side the Volcan.

The enormous monument is covered in names of civilians who died in WW2 as the city was obliterated in bombing. Well worth a visit. I was a bit annoyed by a couple young guys who didn't seem to respect the solemnity of the place.
