This is a lovely museum overlooking the harbor, and it’s no surprise that much of the collection is dedicated to harbor/water/ocean scenes. It’s bright & airy, very relaxing. I enjoyed both a special exhibit (Né en écumes) and the permanent collection, which includes numerous Renoir,...More

Highly interesting collection easy to visit. Présentation Boudin paintings à little too closely grouped but otherwise all interesting, staff helpful and entrance fee unpretentious!

What I would have missed. The last "modern" art gallery that I visited was the Tate St. Ives in Cornwall which was full of what can only be sadly described as drivel, this gallery by contrast is an absolute joy to visit. It was the...More

Even tho it was Sunday there was a great market downtown and a short walk away was the museum featuring a painting on loan from the Louve by Monet. Small museum but worth the walk. Only disappointment was that the cafe upstairs was closed for...More
