Miles of golden sand, with a tide that goes back almost to England, Deauville beach is a place where families can spend a day, allowing the children to play. With many beach side cafes offering outdoor seating, it has something for everyone.

Long flat beach, good walkways etc. Interesting walk along the promenade to see the celebrity changing rooms from the American Film Festival. Some well known, but also ones that you may not have thought of.

Enormous expanse of boardwalk and lovely sand. Easy access, public parking and great mix of public and private restaurants, Sports activity opportunities and a gorgeous garden at the end

This beach took me with the classic cabins and promenade made me feel like I was in the 1920’s. The beach is clean and it’s wonderful to walk along the shore. Go for a horse ride along the beach if you have time!

Adorable classic beach with old-school style. Loved it! The food was great. It is expansive enough that you aren't sitting on top of each other. The parasols were adorable. Peaceful...

September in the rain and wind may not be the best time to go, but it's dramatic and on a sunny day I'm sure it's lovely.

We visited the beach a few times in our holiday to Deauville from Scotland, UK. Whether you fancy a walk along the promenade, a parasol for a day on the beach or a paddle in the sea at sunset - I would highly recommend Deauville...More

The beach is massive! We visited on a hot day in summer and there was loads of space and available parasols to hire - all brightly coloured and in good condition. Shops and eateries nearby. Nice references to the film world and good boardwalk to...More

Not unless you want to rent a parasol or a lounge chair. If you just want to walk on the beach it’s free.

I think in Deauville if you don't have a dog you feel out of place as everyone seems to have one, and although I don't know much about what the rules are, I am pretty certain it is no problem to have your dog with you... More
