We were travelling from Belgium to Paris and took the opportunity to take the road less travelled on the coast. This reminded me of a lot of the beaches near Nice on the French Riviera we visited when we circled the Alps, but nicer because...More

Expensive to rent chairs and also to eat in any of the cafes. The town itself has a range of good shops and a lovely outdoor market. But the shops are quite upmarket and therefore quite expensive.

Fun place over priced and not very good beach cafes - you pay for the view and certainly not the service and quality of most of the food.

For us it was a little to cold and windy but youngsters were out flying kites and enjoying the wide open expanse of beach. I would love to come back in the summer to get the full effect of such a beautiful looking beach.

We walked down the boardwalk only, but the place is very chic and everyone is out to show their best outfits here, wether it's a Chanel handbag or fur coats they'll be wearing it even if it's twenty degrees. It's a fascinating place I felt...More

Miles of golden sand, with a tide that goes back almost to England, Deauville beach is a place where families can spend a day, allowing the children to play. With many beach side cafes offering outdoor seating, it has something for everyone.

Long flat beach, good walkways etc. Interesting walk along the promenade to see the celebrity changing rooms from the American Film Festival. Some well known, but also ones that you may not have thought of.

This beach took me with the classic cabins and promenade made me feel like I was in the 1920’s. The beach is clean and it’s wonderful to walk along the shore. Go for a horse ride along the beach if you have time!

Not unless you want to rent a parasol or a lounge chair. If you just want to walk on the beach it’s free.

I think in Deauville if you don't have a dog you feel out of place as everyone seems to have one, and although I don't know much about what the rules are, I am pretty certain it is no problem to have your dog with you... More
