Amazing place to see. Such modern look as it’s underground it’s like the size of a football stadium.

I’ve visited here many times and always find it very moving. Each day at 5pm there is mass for the sick. All the sick people are brought in here on beds and in wheelchairs. It is always very special.

I never knew there was an underground church in this day and age. This is one massive, impressive building. We and several hundred faithful were there for the blessing of the sick and Adoration. Wonderful experience - one I will not forget.

The purpose of the underground basilica is to accommodate the vast crowds when the weather is too hot or stormy to permit services outdoors. It is very stark and simple in style but effective when filled with pilgrims.
