It's not the first time I've visited it. The day we visited it though it was very hot, there's hardly any shade but it's worth a visit.

Specially at night, and note the little devil in the top of one tower. Read the church info is a must.

Part of any visit to Cahors - just follow the river round from the old city and you can't miss it. Parking nearby but you could just walk across the peninsula to the bridge from the old town - not far.

As we were in Cahors for the day with our friends who have a home nearby, we had to visit this key attraction. It is impressive given its age and history, but it probably doesn’t merit a trip to the small city on its own.

The Pont Valentre bridge is the symbol of Cahors for good reason, it is simply spectacular. Access is free at all times, it is well worth walking across, and then taking a stroll along the riverbank for a great view and that killer photograph.

On of the main historical locations in town, this bridge has been closed off for vehicle traffic, and is visited by locals and tourists. Wonderful view of the river below, and several nearby placrs to eat.

This is an amazing structure and well worth taking a stroll across across it to appreciate its beauty. The walk down the path on the far side to see the pump house and the spring is worth taking. It is one of the gems of...More
