The Pont Valentre bridge is a lovely site over the river in Cahors. It's a wide cobbled bridge with three towers. There are steps on the inside of the bridge to go up and get a better view. It's in a lovely area with parking...More

Loved the bridge - it is definitely worth a visit in every sense. However the cruise around the river was a big disappointment despite the lovely scenery. Not enough seats outside on the boat, we were not allowed to sit at the back, and the...More

Hope I can look as good if I survive eight centuries! Plus you can find the devil to watch over you? Start with the Malbec vines at the entry. So beautiful on a calm day with the Lot reflecting.

Cahors is not very big and the bridge is accessible from where ever you are by foot. It is a place not to miss if you go there.

A beautiful bridge with a great history. Walk across and feel the history. Spot the demon looking down on you and learn about the bridge construction or take a boat tour to see it from the water

In excellent condition and from it there are lovely views along the Lot river .Walk along the bank on the town side for the best views .The stone in the evening light is particularly gorgeous.

Most emblematic landmark of Cahors. Surrounded with Malbec grapes. On one of the old routes to Santiago de Compostella.

What a superb bridge. Beautifully restored. One can imagen the bridge in the old days. Full of people crossing, trading and talking. A must see when you are in the aerea

Lovely bridge with great views of the river. Don't go up the steps if you don't like heights and don't let young kids run ahead to them as they are pretty dangerous by UK standards (uneven, worn treads and no rail to stop you falling...More
