This is a very picturesque spot in the centres of Nimes. Lovely ponds, beautiful plants. The only thing missing on our visit was fountains. Perhaps it's my French.

We came in the heat of July, and this was a welcome respite. Huge shade trees, expansive walks with nicely kept gardens and beautiful fountains fed from the spring that gives this city its name. Plus there is also the ruined Temple of Diana and...More

Nice spot to head for in the heat. Good for people watching and the best views of the city. Easy to walk to and plenty of walking if you are feeling energetic.

This is a pleasant walk on a hot sunny day past refreshing water fountains and streams. The gardens are really nice, plus once you cross the gardens you will get to the Tour Magne!

On a sunny day this is a perfect place to spend a few hours wandering through the beautifully landscaped gardens or admiring the Roman baths with their carp and swans swimming in the water. It's a peaceful haven in the heart of town, a must...More

Lots to explore ( including a Roman temple) and a good place for a sit and to watch the world going by. Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit the park on the hill above the water features. There is a small drinks kiosk...More

We enjoyed a pleasant stroll through en route to Tour Magne (although it is steepish uphill to the tower!!) . Interesting to see the Temple of Diana. Someone previously commented that no vendors in park, we visited in summer and there was an ice cream...More

Amazingly beautiful and well kept. So much to take in: the architecture, the plants, the paths, the fish, the view from the Magna, the Temple of Diana. Found the lavatories - indicated clearly on tourist map and cafe near Temple of Diana. It is worth...More

Very pretty gardens with fountains, steps, fish pond, shady areas to relax. At night the steps etc are lit up and this is pretty and worth a view.

Yes, it is totally free to walk all around the gardens and the Temple of Diana. Fairly pricey charge to go up the tower at the very top of the gardens, but the view is quite spectacular!
