Interesting and unassuming Gothic Cathedral, with a few quirky features. The chief of these is the two massive columns supporting the main porch. The second is the two beautiful matching rose windows in the transept, which look original, albeit with modern stained glass.

Go take a look - you won't regret it. The architecture is worth the trip and if you are into churches you will enjoy it (and even if not).

This cathedral was built in the middle of the 14th century in southern Gothic style, and declared a cathedral in the middle of the 16th century. It's located close to the Botanic Garden. Free admission.

This is a beautiful church - one could spend hours and still not be able to examine all the art and architecture.

This Cathedral is not particularly ornate but is built on an impressive scale, especially the twin point towers at the main entrance, well worth a photo stop on a visit to the city

I was able to go to the church during an openhouse. We were able to climb the steps to the top for a nice view. There is a large organ inside the church. What appears to be the main entrance with red doors is closed...More
