The trees are displayed throughout the warm months on the grounds of the Palace. They are not planted in the ground, but rather in large pots. When it gets cold, they are all moved inside to protect them and trotted out again in the spring....More

This is a large adjunct to the main gardens of Versailles. It's a bit like a huge add on. Well worth a look but make sure you don't miss it. As soon as you enter the gardens vere left. A good view from up above.

What? The Grand Canal not enough for the King? No wonder heads rolled for their greed and excess. But it is certainly beautiful and peaceful. If one had to build something to fill the empty land, this was probably the best choice!

The king wanted exotic plants and he got his orangerie i.e. orange trees. It gives out a good fragrance. They are even taken indoors in winters. So much care for a garden!

L’Orangerie garden was one of the least busy areas. Had lovey garden with practically no one around. Great for photos too.
