One of Paris' best market streets, much of it pedestrian only, lined with terrific food stores. Everything you might want is here. Plus lots of cafes and restaurants. The heart and stomach of the 14th. Lovely.

A bustling street with may cafes, shops, patisseries and bars. A mini neighbourhood on its own! Don't just stay in the main bit, walk to the end, there are a few lovely places at the far end.

Walk around, stop for a cup of coffee, browse the stores, cafes, restaurants, butcher shops, bakeries and grocery stores. Experience part of life as a Parisian.

When in Paris, we are so lucky as to be able to stay in a flat in the 14th arrondissement, lent to us by friends. As it is close to the pedestrian Rue Daguerre, we do most of our shopping there. We never tire of...More

Far more locals than tourists. A day in the life type of experience - at least to me. There are a large number of good to great cafes, brasseries, restaurants. And the markets are just a party. Every encounter with a merchant is fun. French...More

The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the
landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that
goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas,
brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and
parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away
from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and
historical monuments and treasures. In between lie
adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small
