Right on the river near the Tower. This was a very difficult war since it involved France's struggle with colonialism. Not sure how much one wants to support this. But still one must respect the dead.

An interesting memorial to the Algerian War. It can be viewed from several angles and would certainly be of interest to French people as it represents an important part of their history. 2280oos

Interesting memorial, specially for those with French ancestry. You can type your surname in, and all those who died with the same name will scroll up on the screens. As my name is a fairly common French one, we had to leave before the scrolling...More

This is an interesting memorial to France's fallen from the North African campaigns. An interesting place to stop at if you are in the area.
