One of the busiest places in Paris, lots of people coming and going, trains going to a lot of places. Lots of TGV's. Places to eat and shop. Not many places to sit and wait. And not pretty. Functional.

This train station is huge and has multiple floors. The staff are nice and have a pleasing attitude. There are food outlets including the Paul Chariot and the Monop daily, would avoid them unless needed as they are expensive compared to the stores near your...More

We came by to check out this station (and get to the Jardin Atlantique on the roof). There are multiple levels with regional trains as well as a large Metro station. There are about four Paul Bakery kiosks (pretty much the French bakery version of...More

Montparnasse Station is a major metro train station in Paris and is a major transport hub. The station is nice and was very well decorated with Christmas decorations and it has lots of little shops - which also happen to be expensive. I wouldn’t recommend...More

As we love train stations, we visited this busy five-level station when we were in the neighbourhood. It’s an ugly modern building that has no special appeal, neither outside nor inside. But there is hope for the future as a major refurbishment, which will last...More

Compared with St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord, this station felt like paradise! We had experienced problems with earlier rail connections and arrived at Montparnasse exhausted and bewildered. An approachable member of staff took us to the information counter where, after explaining our difficulties,...More

All people were on the go, some moving at one direction others opposite. but we managed our way out since we came from another way. I was amazed of the movement of people around. Confusing but we did managed.

There are many snack stands, including my favorite, Monop'Lab which is across from Track 1. There you'll find improved healthful food choices, a variety of main course salads (lentils, smoked salmon, chicken,...) that are higher in quality than most of the other outlets. Sandwiches, desserts...More

Heaven help the first-time visitor to Paris confronted with Montparnasse-Bienvenue railway station. The place is vast and confusing so give yourself plenty of time to book or buy tickets. The automatic machines are multilingual but not particularly user friendly so you may end up having...More

This is a massive station, and can be very confusing. We got a private hire taxi to take us between Gare du Nore and Montparnasse. We missed our connection due to traffic. Finding the ticket office took some doing. We told them that the Eurostar...More
