The Flower Market on Ile de Cité a wonderful and colorful place. It always seems busy but on Sundays it is joined by a Marché aux Oiseaux - Bird market. Despite the cheerful chirping and the colorful birds on show I found it disturbing to...More

The market is beautiful because it's full of flowers. Flowers are sold everywhere in Paris, so I prefer to come here for house plants, and it's great for that. Nice oasis in the middle of tourist Paris.

On Sundays this turns into a bird market, so after visiting Sainte Chapelle this was a very nice experience. It was all very colorful and cheerful. Be sure to visit. It felt like we were miles away from tourists.

Somewhere betweenSainte-Chapelle Chapeland Notre-Dame Cathédrale, lies Place Louis Lépine. The home of one of my most loved, most visited markets in Paris. Marché aux Fleurs. As the name suggests this market specialises in flowers, as well as a wide selection of other plants and all sorts of garden knick-knacks....More

The market is next to Notre Dame Paris, only weekend morning. Few shops with flowers, plans and birds with cages. We have picked up Florence dried lavender bags and savon de Marseille as gifts for friends.

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
