As a fountain junkie (Rome, beautiful Rome) I was thrilled to come upon this fountain by surprise - it was probably the only thing unplanned and unexpected in our whole itinerary. Having just come from the Medici fountain in the Luxembourg Garden, this was an...More

The Fontaine Saint-Michel is worth seeing while you're in the area. It's near other attractions so good way to spend a few hours.

We were staying around this area and this fountain was a good landmark for identifying where to go, there were plenty of people around here and it is worth taking a look at it. There were lots of live performers around the area as well.

If you want to spend a good time then Saint Michel Square is the right place. In the evening, there are always artists who want to show their musical skills, and if you want, you can give some coins them. You will be phenomenally fulfilled....More

Haussmann installed this massive fountain as a focal point across from Ile de la Cite and at the beginning of Boul. Mich. It does catch your eye. Young people use it as a meeting point. Impressive.

Our Sandemans walking tour started from this fountain. Great to hear the history of this fountain and how the students decorate the statue!

Right at the entrance to St Germain area - the fountain is massive but unfortunately it lack that wow factor that you expect in Paris. Just made a quick stop to see it.

The fountain is majestic. On a Sunday afternoon in June, music playing, a young couple, he in a suit, she in a lovely red dress, tangoed in front of the fountain. It felt like a movie set. I hope they're there when you are.

Normal fountains are built usually as a stand alone structure, but this one at Place Saint Michel is more like a façade to hide the end of the building facing the square thus would easily be overlooked as just part of the building behind. Anyways,...More

It's a gorgeous fountain, and a nice place to hang out in the city. Not a park, but nice views of a beautiful piece of art.

This is a beautiful fountain worth seeing if you’re near Norte Dame. Stop and relax in the small square while taking some pics. The architecture is wonderful.

Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the
residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon
never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional
cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets
surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide
eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just
next door and the prototypical terraced French
brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this
