So glad we came upon this museum and its excellent show. A lovely way to spend a few hours in our arrondisement. Helpful staff to negotiate steep steps.

I am not especially passionate about art or at least paintings but I admit that Foujita's life history is intriguing and his paintings catch the attention.

The occasion of my visit was the Foujita exhibition, and it was also May 1st when almost all the other museums in Paris are closed. This was a good choice, in fact, and an eye opener, to discover a very interesting painter of the Ecole...More

What is good about this place is that there are often interesting exhibitions in what is essentially a smallish space. Its well located in the left Bank, like all in Paris, more or less walkable. Often a must to see interestingly curated shows.

It's a very nice little museum, the temporary exhibitions are usually worth the visit and the permanent exhibition of Maillol's work is worth discovering. But and a big but, there are guided groups in this small museum and they are an unutterable pain. It does...More

Pleasant small pop art exhibition with pieces from the Whitney museum. Highly enjoyable even if you don't actually see much of the beautiful "hotel particulier" which houses it. Quite busy too.

The museum is currently showing a fine sample of the New York Whitney’s Pop Art collection. All of the main US pop artists are well represented without being overdone. Excellent audio guide. And a bonus point for not allowing irritating photo taking. Permanent collection is...More

No but the permanent collection is small so I would only recommend going with no exhibition if you are a big Maillol fan. The Rodin Museum is a better bet for sculpture particularly in the summer as you can wander around the... More
