This area was more famous/outlandish in the past years. Now it is known more for the Moulin Rouge and the metro stop nearby as well as being at the base of Monmartre. Worth checking out. But probably not as interesting or picturesque as some of...More

Very busy part of Paris, the Moulin Rouge was not as impressive as I thought, but we were outside, so cannot comment on the in side to be fair, or any of the shows. This area reminded me of Soho in London , but was...More

The Paris Red Light district is officially named is Quartier Pigalle. If you are not into this type of scene, it is best to spend your time elsewhere. In Quartier Pigalle you will find world-famous landmarks like Moulon Rouge.

This is a well known district in Paris, having stayed here 15 years ago I knew that the area is very much catering for a certain clientele. The shops and clubs are probably aimed more at stag dos but all the same it’s part of...More

We finally watched Moulin Rouge. I wanted to give it a good review after the bad review but there is a 3 months moratorium. It's quite a good show actually - like a topless version of Cirque du Soleil. The street is lined with sex...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
