Ben to the montemarte area a few times and enjoy wandering the narrow streets. Yes there is the usual annoying guys trying to sell you rubbish but look past that and see the wonderful cafes, restaurants, artists and shops. The walk up to the sacre...More

Don’t go inside any club, they will take all your money inside, and once you are inside they close the doors and you can do nothing. Just avoid visiting these clubs.

Ok, they still have the Moulin Rouge here for people to enjoy, but the rest of the area is in decline. Other Paris neighborhoods are much better. Too many young drunks, druggies and beggars. The lap dance places are run by criminals that jack up...More

This square doesn't look too bad during the day. The red Moulin Rouge building is fairly eye catching. We walked around to explore Montmartre and it made sense to stop for a few minutes and take a photo of yet another famous landmark in this...More

This is a well known district in Paris, having stayed here 15 years ago I knew that the area is very much catering for a certain clientele. The shops and clubs are probably aimed more at stag dos but all the same it’s part of...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in

Yes it is not as sleazy as you might think. Its well lit with usually people around so if you stick to the main streets you are fine. Villa Royale is chintzy but great. Well located with views of Sacre C. Wander the hilly... More
