The Musee Cernuschi is hidden away in a beautiful townhouse next to the park Monceau. My advice - go to the park and skip the museum. A very small collection badly lit and very badly exhibited. The special exhibition wasn't much better. There are so...More

This was Paris' most fancy neighborhood toward the end of the 19th Century. This townhouse displays a private collection of important Asian art. The area around it is exquisite.

Best reason to visit: It's set in a magnificent mansion that is typical of the fancy houses built in Paris late Nineteenth Century. Collection is good enough.

This small-ish Asian art museum seemed mostly Chinese to me — lovely. The non-permanent exhibitions — currently Perfumes of China — are also excellent. Combine this with a visit to the Parc Manceau adjoining.
