Great market with all kinds of veges and lots of meats. Not too much fowl or fish and prices are fairly high. Most interesting thing that I say were the cepes (see photo).

We were fortunately located 12 minutes-walk from the Mouffetard Market. Excited to check out our first destination in Paris ! We arrived in Paris in the late afternoon, after a 6 hour layover in Zurich. We took a taxi from Charles de Gaule airport to...More

Great street to stroll on and purchase items for a picnic. We found the freshest strawberries, a cheese shop, bakeries, and many more interesting shops. Hemingway lived up the street from here. Worth a visit if you’re in the area. Close to the Pantheon, too.

Love the fish stalls the most in this market that is located close to Place Monge and various other food stalls as well. This is a good place to wonder around and come to have something to eat. Closed Monday.

This is OK, not much to add to the other reviews. For a very authentic local experience you could take a short walk to the Place Monge market as well.

This is just a fabulous place on a Sunday morning. They have old Parisian singing and dancing to a man on an accordion. If you close your eyes you could be back in the 19th century. You are handed song sheets so you are encouraged...More

I have a relative who lives in this area and personally I find the shops and restaurants a nice diversion and a great walk, but those that live here will decry it as "too touristy". As noted most of the market stalls have retreated into...More

A pleasant hour or so looking at stalls followed by lunch in the lovely Vietnamien restaurant. Drinks down the bottom in little square under the trees also pleasant. Quirky shops. Go via Plac3 Monge metro station.

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During

We recommend you check the Mouffetard Market and they also have a "Contact" page in their website with an email address that you could try to send a message and check if they will open at the day you will be there.

The Rue Mouffetard is a place to go for food and entertainment, not luxury shopping.
