Came here during sunset and the view was fantastic. Not that crowded at all, but we came after 8pm. Walked the entire bridge to find out that 95% of the famous "love locks" have been removed. Only a small sliver were left to remain, and...More

The name Pont Neuf ( New Bridge) is not new and on the contrary this is the oldest bridge in Paris. The relief of the heads on the bridge wall is nice to see. All the locks on the bridge? they mess up the beauty...More

Great location for your Paris in the background shots. Not too far from Notre dame. Plenty of police around to make you feel safe.

You see it in all the movies, read about it in all the mystery stories and only when you are there can you absorb the history of the Pont-Neuf and the city itself.

It is typical, of course, that the 'new bridge' is now the oldest bridge in Paris. Given its location, it is in fact two bridges which cross the different parts of the Seine as it flows round L'ile de la Cite. One of its claims...More

I stay in the left bank off of Rue Dauphine, so this bridge is my main way to cross back to the right bank. It really has two parts, both with a stop in the middle at Ile de la Cite (the small Island in...More

This is the oldest bridge in Paris built in 1607 and on completion Henry IV famously charged across it on his steed. It has 12 arches and a span of 275 metres and extends both sides of the Ile de la Cite. Best metro station...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

The Eiffel tower is far away and on such a night most of the roads will be busy and probably if there are a lot of people near the tower the area will be closed. Best bets are Louvre, Concord, the city island. Maybe within... More
