One of the best parts of travel is walking through a city, and our three-hour walking tour with an expert made French history come alive. I cannot recommend highly enough the WWII Nazi Occupation Tour with Nigel Perrin. He is an expert in his field,...More

This was our first tour with Context Travel and it won't be our last. We had a great docent, NIgel, who studies this period of time and knows Paris very well. We learned about everyday people, the plight of the Jews when the Nazis came...More

I have never spent 4 hours in a museum and felt it passed in a blink of an eye. Our tour guide, Thibaudcamus (nickname Tibo), was nothing short of spectacular. He has a degree in art history, is passionate about art, understands how it weaves...More

We’ve been to the Louvre several times on previous visits to Paris and this was our first tour. Lorraine is extremely knowledgeable and we all learned a huge amount. The time flew and we were sorry to see it end. Definitely recommend!

We had used Context Travel in Rome, Venice and now in Paris. They are very good. Mostly private tours, the few small group tours we’ve taken were fun to. The docents are excellent, very knowledgeable, interesting and fun.

This small group tour, although involving a very short walk, covered a lot of ground gastronomically. Our docent (David) was a multi-lingual sommelier who carefully introduced us to the production of fine cheeses, pates and breads. We were encouraged to taste a wide selection of...More
