Presently there is an exhibition on the immigration to and from Corsica, well worth seeing and very enlightening too. There is also an exhibition on the Greek, Phoenician and Roman influence and several relics are on display. We spent an hour there and for €5...More

Content and presentation are very average. Few left over of the Fesch collection. Temporary exhibition on Corsican emigration is interesting. Great views from the garden on top of the museum

The exhibition was nothing spectacular but did give a good insight into Corsican history. Was also air conditioned which we much appreciated as it was 30 degrees outside.

Located In the Old Citadelle this museum offers superb views of Bastia and a perfect frame for the exhibition on the history of Bastia and Corsica and its changing interdynamic with Genoa, Pisa, Great Brittain and France. Splendid experience❤️

This museum is directed at French speakers only...no English or any other language. Fair enough I guess, but when you can't read the plaques etc it's impossible to get much out of a visit.

This Museum is almost exhaustive in its content, and thus may not appeal to all. It details the history of Bastia over the past thousand years or so, and has everything from oil portraits to furniture, coke bottles to WW2 machine guns. The building is...More

Surprise of the holiday! We'd gone exploring round the old town, and decided to pop in. For only €5 each, which included a translated copy of text in each room, it was a bargain. Really informative with some very interesting and beautiful things. Going down...More
