Pretty town to wander around and see the architecture and then a stop in Place Plumereau for lunch. Lots of places to choose from.

Food, drink, music and culture in the beautiful old town area of Tours. Had a meal in the Place followed by ice cream and shopping in the pretty boutiques.

There were plenty of people and an evening 'buzz' to this historic square in Tours. Nice ambiance for an evening beer but we found the restaurants mediocre, all-the-same, and a bit seedy.

One of the interesting places of this Old Town, an array of different restaurants, pubs & bars and boutique stores. I love the ambience of the place and we took lunch in one of those Turkish restaurants.

Place Plumereau is a beautiful medieval square with historic half-timbered houses. Lots of choice for restaurants and bars.

This was a great place to visit amongst the hustle and bustle of the town square. The half-timbered houses were so beautiful. We walked to the river, went to the very large in door food market and had lunch at a quaint little restaurant. Glad...More

Your stroll around the old town of Tours should end here for a relaxing place to watch life, enjoy a drink or a meal. There are many choices and the views of the buildings and architecture cannot be beat.

A beautiful place to stop, have a coffe and marvel at the amazing historical architecture of this town. The timber, brick and stone structures are so interesting with their carved timber beams and slightly crooked walls. We spent a long time just walking around Place...More
