Rue Nationale provides a handy agglomeration of mostly high-end shopping venues. The street has been made pedestrian only, providing a good place to hang-out and people-watch. The experience is pretty generic, with shops you will find almost everyhwere.

I'm not a huge window shopper tropically but his road is perfect for that. All the windows look great. It's a wide promenade with something for everyone.

I wandered up and down this street several times during my 4 days in Tours and each time found something new to enjoy. It became a pivotal point in my visit.

All the shops in the one place! A nice 15th century 700 metre long street going from the Place Anatole France to the Pont Wilson.

There is something unusual and magnetic about this wide boulevard with the tram tracks in its center. And overall, Tours is a wonderful town with magnificent churches and an incredible foodie scene!

Great pedestrian (dodge the tram) shopping street. An array of shops, from small intricate to the large department store. Don't shut for lunch either. We took the tram in from the P&R which was so easy and only €6.30 for the 5 of us including...More
