Impressive and inspiring architecture and wonderful soaring stone interiors ranks Tours Catholic Cathedral among the many in Europe built in the 12th and 13th centuries.

Beautiful gothic cathedral...the chancel has strong similarities to Sainte Chapelle in Paris. Not to be missed

If you do not visit this cathedral then you will have missed out. The sheer scale from the outside is overwhelming but inside the opulence is mind blowing. We are not religious but the architecture is impressive

Wonderful old cathedral. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any information in English or French to read up in its historical background. It’s stain glass windows are wonderful and varied, some crowded with biblical stories and some modern in glorious colours.

This cathedral is worth visiting and being compared with Orleans, Troyes, Reims ones. Windows are fantastic. Good thing, it is open till late. We were there at around 8 pm.
