The city is famous for Joan D'Arc and this was the place where she stayed for sometime during the siege of Orleans. This place is rebuilt after it was damaged in World War II. I thought that I would be allowed to visit inside and...More

Joan of Arc stayed in the original building for a few days during the siege of Orleans. We intended to visit the interior but it was closed, so took the opportunity to take some photos outside.

As the city of Orleans is famous for Jeanne d'Arc, we thought it’d be a good idea to visit this museum. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed as we couldn’t really see the place. We were told the room and the upper part of the...More

Restored in 1965. Magnificent exterior 6€ entry allows four different admissions, including the fine arts museum which is normally 6€ on its own. Original house (hotel) was destroyed in WWII and was recreated in the 1960's (see plaque photo). Well worth the visit. 1827

I enjoyed a lot being here, a few minutes of history, a few things from history, I learned something being here. I don't know why people are disappointed. It is a small place, you enter in a small house which in fact is in renovation,...More

This was the biggest disappointment of our visit to Orleans. We paid the entry but the visit consisted only of a 15 minute presentation. I would not recommend paying to enter but merely view and photograph from the outside.

The house looks stunnig from the outside, but offers very little on the inside. The visit consisted pretty much of a 15 minute film about the life and times of Joan of Arc. The second floor was closed during our visit so I can't comment...More

We were looking forward to seeing a replica of Joan of Arc's house, but instead we were ushered into a small viewing room, given headphones for English listening and we viewed a short animated film of Joan of Arc. The ticket was also valid for...More
