About
Open every day of the year ! The medieval fortress dominates the village with its austere facade. But don't be daunted: the open drawbridge is an invitation to enter into the refined lodgings of a great lord. It is the most fully furnished castle of...more

This is such a beautiful château!!! My mother and I were here on a slow day in mid-May. The castle itself is rich with history, and provides a glimpse into life in a very different time (a great display depicting Charles VIII’s wedding to Anne...More

Lots to see and experience in this old French Castle. Some rooms are made up with models so you can see what things really looked like in the past.

Had the opportunity to visit Chateau de Langeais recently. Our guide was fabulous and gave great history and stories of the Chateau. Worth a visit if you are in the area. The town is nice to walk through as well, I happened to be there...More

One our favorite chateaux. The display depicting Charles VIII’s wedding to Anne of Bretagne was so lifelike and told the story well. The art and floor tiles are amazing. We ran out of time to fully explore the grounds behind the fortress, but enjoyed what...More

Visited on a sunny Monday. Very quiet inside but lots of information in each room on cards for your pleasure. The grounds are beautiful with a stunning view over the Loire. Children will like the gardens more than the Château. Worth a pleasant couple of...More

The castle is a fortress, well maintained and interesting. The show of dueling with the sword is to be seen. The view of the Loire Valley is splendid. But the price of entry remains high.

The pretty town of Langeais is dominated by the chateau which, due to ongoing cleaning in parts, looks almost new. It was built mainly as a domestic residence rather than as a defence. However the drawbridge does function and rooms contain furniture such as beds,...More

We thank you for you sharing your opinion about Langeais Castle. As you noticed, there are information on paper in English in each room, but we want to precise that there isn't audio tour. We look forward to welcoming you once again to Langeais Castle...More
