The museum is housedin a lovely old timbered building, wonderful beamed ceilings. Go below ground to see more of the exhibition, 3 floors down, and be amazed at the great hall the size of a cathedral. The museum offers a lot of insight and history...More

Wonderful display of Stain Glass window from all periods. A special bonus is the studio where cutting the colored glass is being cut.

Equally important as seeing the cathedral, the nearby center offers a great insight into the medieval culture and glass arts. We were impressed by an expedition featuring "light" & modern stain glass artist.

A shop with old and new stained glass in all sizes. Craft making materials available. Some very traditional work but others with much whimsy.

They are closed during the lunchtime period. Older periods of glass contrast with the fascinating contemporary exhibit in the basement. The building is wonderful.

How stained glass windows are made and repaired, plus some amazing old examples are on the first floor. The basement holds the surprise! Modern windows designed by young artists for churches all over france and Belgium-fabulous!

Only the main level was accessible. This was the only museum that charged full price in a wheelchair (others were free admission). Only half the museum was accessible. The exhibit in the main floor included a room with every window at Chartres Cathedral with an...More
