This magical place has wonderful view, hope you have a good day and you can find a place to park your car easily (it took a while for us but totally worth it!)

As others have said, you must take a guided tour at the Memorial '39-'45, and all the tours are in French--for a mostly French audience. A few other nationalities are given a paper with some explanation in their own language. The American infantry liberated the...More

The City was the German headquarters for Saint Malo. See the German fortifications located in a beautiful park-like setting. The bunkers show the traces of the bombing that took place in 1944 (though the nearly city of Saint Malo bore the brunt of the action)....More

Nice walk around the cite d'Aleth. It was a former Roman city with some remains on the way to Saint Servan port. That place also was fortified by Germans during the WWII. You can see the fort on the top of the hill.

An interesting area close to St Malo. It has a marina, beach restaurants, a promontory to walk around and museums. It is worth finding out about the very interesting history.

This is not a city but a park and the views from it or Dinard on one side and St. Malo on the other are terrific, but I don't know if that justifies the 30 minute walk from St. Malo. There is a castle and...More

You can walk around Aleth site (to see Rance river, Dinard and old Saint-Malo) when you want, because it is never closed. Best regards, Bernard D.
