I went with a genuinely neutral approach as I haven't had any swimming lessons since I was 7 years old (so 1997 at the latest). I am frightened of water if I can't stand on the bottom and avoid swimming. I booked onto lessons in...More

The gym in the aquatic centre is adequate. The pool side however leaves much to be desired. The changing rooms are always filthy. The pool itself during 'swim for all' or adults swim' is incredibly shallow and isn't of much use if you want a...More

We have been attending Manchester Aquatics for many years and have always found it a great facility however, this weekend the services provided left much to be desired. On one of the hottest weekends of the year the centre failed to provide a single working...More

Very poor standard of provision. This was my first visit to the aquatics centre today and I will not be going again. I rang in advance of going four or five times, always getting a recorded message saying the centre was receiving an unusually high...More

Dirty changing areas, tons of broken lockers, dust clumps and used plasters floating in the water! I left feeling dirty and disgusting, with the fear that I had caught some sort of disgusting disease. I will never return again and recommend people stay away!

This place is so dirty, half of the lockers are broken and the toilets smell. I have been told by the staff that work there (receptionists!) that the managers are horrible and bully the staff. After questioning the floor cleaner on one visit because the...More

I joined here on a swim only membership. I have no issues with the swimming pool. It can get very busy but it is situated in the middle of Manchester so this is to be expected. The problems with this centre are the changing and...More

We went here hoping for a really good swimming experience in the centre of manchester, that was not what we got.... It wasn't badly priced at all, cheap really, but that's where the good part stops. The very basic shared changing rooms were 'ok', when...More

Arrived to be told that the baby pool is only open for 2 hours a day. Nothing is about that on the website, which has no information. So we had to pay parking for a non event. Staff wouldn't apologise for the misunderstanding. Will never...More

Sorry for late reply but I do not have a clue about normal opening times. I would ring the pool direct to get the most up to date info
