This traditional pub has become part of the pie minister chain and whilst it's been redecorated sympathetically and has retained a wide selection of beers. The pies were excellent. Plenty of choice with nice little extras. Will go back.

Nice enough pub, but beware coming out of the men's toilets if you are over 6ft. A low doorway with no warning can catch you out. Ouch.

this is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere the owner very friendly if I lived here it would be my local really good music on jukebox too.

Had a great time watching the football with a real friendly crowd in..and had a great selection of well kept beers on..only planning on staying for the game but ended up having a meal, the food was amazing ( skyscraper burger ) and very reasonably...More

If it isn't broken please don't fix it. Had excellent lunches here in the past but will not return. Embarrassed to bring two overseas visitors to an authentic city centre pub and be served overcooked shoe leather, described as home cooked beef burger.
