This is a place we hadn't visited for awhile, but called him for a change. It was reassuring in a way to see that it hasn't changed much since our last visit and offers a good central meeting place and a nice pub.
It was early on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet, but the place had still had a good atmosphere.
It certainly isn't the cheapest pub in town but has a good range of drinks which are well kept and the service is fast and friendly.

Called into The Rising Sun on Saturday afternoon prior to going to The Palace Theatre. The place, as usual, was warm and welcoming, immaculately clean and offering a great range of drinks from spirits to various ales. Can`t fault the place in any respect and we never miss calling in for one (or two !!) when on a visit to Manchester. Very few pubs like this surviving now, so always an absolute joy to see one doing so well. Long may it prosper !!

This is a traditional back street Manchester pub. Just past Rylands library off Deansgate. Good selection of beers and pleasant staff

Called in for a drink after early evening dinner. This used to be a thriving pub but we were the only people in (at 7.30). It was a decent pint but it had absolutely no atmosphere

Hands down the best Guiness I've had in Manchester. Served expertly by Richard the barman.
Respect to a pub that commits to cleaning the lines every night. Makes all the difference.

What a wonderful place. I have my special needs son Sean twice a week and we have lunch here. Robyn and Gary make Sean feel so welcome despite him being loud and from Australia.

Lovely bar just off the beaten track, quite expensive, just under £17 for 2 pints a coke and a bottle of bud, friendly service but at those prices we won’t be back, the first bar was £9 for 4 pints of lager
