My friends booked a tour around the museum. What a fantastic time we had. The lady who did the tour was very informative. The building from the outside looks very small but it is like a tardis on the inside. We shall definitely visit again....More

This place is FANTASTIC. Can’t believe I’ve lived in Manchester for years and never been. From the outside it’s very unassuming- the building is actually an old police station. It’s like a tarsus though as inside there’s so much to see and explore. You can...More

The museum was really nice. I saw some good interesting police stuff. Weird old police guns and different types of police vehicles.

Loads to see here, with some great displays of uniforms and crime memorabilia from Manchester. There is an impressive collection of truncheons, police whistles and weaponry too. The visit to the cells filled with the various mugshots was particularly atmospheric. Staff were very friendly and...More

I mentioned to my travel partner that there was a 'police museum' in Manchester, that happened to be within walking distance of our AirBnB and that it was open on a morning we had free. I was met with an unenthusiastic groan, but we went...More

Spent 2 very enjoyable hours at this excellent museum. It shows how policing has evolved over 100 years. Also it gives masses of detail of how a Victorian police station/officer worked. The rooms had different information from uniforms, vehicles, equipment and working conditions. The main...More
