Gutted to write this review. I have visited Grand Central many times over the last 15 years or so. Always found it fun and friendly and 'open to all'. On Friday night we had been to the King Crimson gig and decided to take in...More

Good music and good fun. It's usually our first port of call for a night out, it can get quite busy at weekends though or before or after a big gig. Pints are relatively cheap and we like to sit in the "stage" area by...More

I was in this pub with 3 friends. We stayed for about one hour and a half and we did 3 rounds of drinks - we tried beers, ciders and shots. At some point we finished our drinks and we were just talking when the...More

Been here several times and it never disappoints..... A traditional rock pub with a 5* juke box.....Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a pool table.....The toilets need a proper clean .....Apart from that its just a decent pub.... Rock on......

We do like visiting a good rock bar. We called in here the music was good but the place was very sticky and could do with a revamp. Bar staff okay but are rushed off their feet

Visited here as a part of a works night out, it’s distinctly a rock orientated establishment, the decor has seen better days both internally and externally, prices seemed ok and beer quality was good.

Beer is a little steep but it is quality brands to offer. Great place to see any bands and even if there is no event on the staff are sound and are constantly jamming to the constant mix of rock and metal on the jukebox.

Popped in for a pint after a show at the Palace up the road. Had walked past the place in the daytime and it looked like a normal quiet, regular boozer. Should perhaps have realised that, even on a Friday night, most regular pubs don't need...More

Simple honest pub, music is metal, drinks are alcoholic, the place is as the place does, personally I think the bar staff and atmosphere are excellent and this is my preferred drinking establishment in Manchester... Unless they have bad bands on (Thursday nights) *BUT* at...More

I don't know where the Apollo is, the live bands have played their own stuff you'll either like or not. The "background music" is what I would call classic rock.
