The Whitworth is a lovely gallery with an eclectic mix of things to see. Beautiful spaces but for me the highlight was their lovely garden.

Recently renovated I believe with some interesting displays. I liked the Cozen and Cozen exhibit of watercolours/ drawings documenting the Grand Tour. The garden and the cafe are also worth a visit

see Wikipedia, but the museum is in Whitworth park, and one of the benefactors was Joseph Whitworth f This tells you all. f

The Greenheys car park, just off Denmark Road, barely two blocks from the Whitworth, is lovely. £1/hour, with a parking attendant.
