The Whitworth is a lovely gallery with an eclectic mix of things to see. Beautiful spaces but for me the highlight was their lovely garden.

Recently renovated I believe with some interesting displays. I liked the Cozen and Cozen exhibit of watercolours/ drawings documenting the Grand Tour. The garden and the cafe are also worth a visit

A wonderful mix between old and modern, an amazing building with modern interior and extensions, an interesting collection of art surrounded by nice gardens.

You can normally get round the whole gallery in an hour or so but the exhibitions change frequently enough that you can keep going back.

Easy to get to by bus, worth visiting as it has the second largest textile collection in the country, after the V&A. There is also an excellent cafe.

The Greenheys car park, just off Denmark Road, barely two blocks from the Whitworth, is lovely. £1/hour, with a parking attendant.
