It’s a lovely area and full of atmosphere. All enhanced by the pleasantly warm and blue sky sunshine.

Historic buildings including fine dining choices are wonderfully conserved. Black and white timber framed frontages are gorgeous.

We visited here during our visit to Medieval Quarter and it was very nice. There is good shopping, good food, and very nice places to see. The Chetham’s Library and the Manchester Cathedral a just a few steps away from here.

A lovely area of Manchester, to take a walk, and see the architecture, well worth seeking out, if your in Manchester.

This a really nice part of Manchester City Centre. Not far from Exchange Square tram station. There is an abundance of bars and restaurants in and around The Shambles and if the weather is kind, grab a table outside The Old Wellington, The Mitre Hotel or Sinclair's Oyster Bar and enjoy a drink or two whilst soaking up it's charm and history in a friendly and sociable atmosphere. Well worth seeking out!

Went to this venue on Saturday 4th July and there was no track and trace details asked for and we could only pay by cash. What a disappointment that this place can’t follow simple rules.

The Wellington Inn is one of the only surviving Tudor buildings in Manchester city centre. Shambles Square is a very historic part of wonderful Manchester, with an interesting, rich history. Although there are 4 pubs in the square, we chose to admire the square from the overlook street. It's a wonderful place for a photo op. Charming beyond words!

Bought several pints of mild at £1.35 a pint. The mild was excellent and the prices are unbeatable. I was in Sinclairs and the surroundings are antiquated but full of character. My fellow drinkers were gregarious and well natured and a good time was had by all.

The only downside was that I was a little unsteady on my feet on the way to Victoria Station....but that was down to me drinking too much !!! At £1.35 a pint it would be rude not to !!

Always popular, great atmosphere and meeting place. Plenty of outdoor seating so perfect for the warmer weather or just wrap up!

A great area in the centre of Manchester. Christmas market nearby. I imagine in the summer it would be heaving
