It is totally different than I'm used to, because the stage is a circle and you're sitting in this giant construction all around it. It was really nice and we really enjoyed the show we watched (Happy Days). We also got a lot of discount...More

I love this theatre. As you sit and look around at the building it’s stunning. The seating offers a view that you can see from all seats. The staff working here are always professional and helpful. The sound and lights are of a high quality.

This theatre has everything. An excellent play tonight, The Cherry Orchard, and refreshments to suit everyone. This old building is worth a visit and even better if you can book a seat for whichever drama is on. I come here regularly so am confident in...More

We had the pleasure of attending a production of Chekov's 'The Cherry Orchard'. The production had it's complexities, but the theatre is a modern arts delight - loved it!

I was shopping in Manchester and nipped in here for a quick look. Amazing building with a theatre in the round in the middle. Also a lovely looking cafe/restaurant . Very calm and relaxing atmosphere I definately want to see a show here sometime.

We had a very enjoyable evening at the Royal Exchange. The pre performance meal in The Rivals was very good and took the stress out of arriving in time for the performance. The seats were very good, front row in the first gallery, plenty of...More

We saw Frankenstein here today, the really small cast put on an excellent show, the special effects were really clever and made us all jump in our seats on more than one occasion and the hidden compartments in the floor revealed some sometimes grisly items,...More

I always prefer to sit on the front row of the 1st tier (i.e. up stairs looking down on the action.) As long as you book in advance, I've seldom had a problem getting the seats that I want. Great theatre, enjoy.

As the theatre is so small , all the seats are pretty good , we prefer the stalls , and if you don't like heights they are your best bet.
