Old school shopping mall - with a lot of shops but has a bit of the 1990s vibe to it; except for the modern nods like WiFi of course. Decent eating places inside as well. Good for tourists.

Good range of shops to suit all budgets etc. Years ago I had visited and felt quite claustrophobic but it seemed to be much lighter and airier. Plenty of really helpful security and welcome staff too. Would certainly go back if I’m in Manchester.

Visited city centre and found the Arndale Centre a bit drab, claustrophobic and just not somewhere I wanted to spend any length of time. Perhaps not helped by ongoing work, but many smaller cities have much better city centre shopping centres.

10min walk, 0.5mi (0.8km). It's a pleasant walk through the centre of town!
