As most reviews here say, this memorial is right in the city centre beside canal street, and if you're in the area it's worth popping along and having a look. The park that it's in is nothing special, but there is also a HIV memorial...More

The memorial is basically a statue. It is very nice though. The park is quiet and is well located, but there isn't much to do there. If you're a Turing's fan, definitely go. If you're not, take a look only if you're near the place...More

The Alan Turing Memorial is a lovely tribute to a brilliant man. Alan's birthday is on 23rd June and if you are in Manchester on that date, head to the memorial as it gets covered in floral tributes and messages from all around the world....More

A lovely small park where you can sit on a bench next to Alan Turing and also check out the tree sculpture in the corner.

Lovely park right in the centre of e city. It makes a nice change to see a statue seated rather than on a platform.

We walked into the park few times on our recent trip to Manchester. Nice little urban park popular with dog walkers. After the sad end to his life, nice to see a tribute to Turing.

I often walk past here on my way to the university of Manchester. This is usually a peaceful spot and very pleasant with a fine breeze in the early evening (if not raining). The memorial of Alan Turing, one of the greatest brits in history,...More
