About

An angling club oversess the fishing of the main lake. Much of the maintenance is undertaken by volunteer member of Friends of Sandall Park including (but not limited to!) planting, weeding, upkeep of the toilets, etc. Friends of Sandall Park are a group of like minded people dedicated to improvement of the park for the benefit of visitors and wildlife. They work alongside various agencies.

I've been going here for years I'm now 71 I love taking my grandchildren, the last time being June this year at the event they hosted my grandchildren loved the inflatables also I loved the different charities stall.
The only downside I've found the toilets are not always open, a few times I've walked round to them and found them closed apparently they close when the cafe closes even though they are separate buildings, and I see a lot of people going into the bushes which isn't good when you have children

Well kept area with interesting alternatives for walking around the area. It is much better in the summer as many of the areas are muddy after rain.

Having utilised this facility for the past 50+ years it has gone from strength to strength. Due to the volunteers it is an excellent facility with well kept gardens and lake and it feels a pleasant place to stroll and view the multitude of bird wildlife it attracts. There are a number of seats to be used for those less able and a safe play area for the young, well done to all the volunteers.

Walk around this park every week and find it very well kept and always look good.

Has a cafe but currently closed due to just take away but don’t understand why it isn’t open.

Geese and ducks are a plenty.

Ice cream van and a play ground for the kids.

Just a quick visit after looking online 👍👀 . A well kept park with plenty of activities for children. Fishing is allowed also on the Lake ... don't know if charges apply 🙄 . It was easy to park on the main road , allowing a 3 hour stay if needed . Did see a Cafe on the park side but didn't use .

It may be in need of renovating, but they still offer great value for money and the food, though basic is actually very good. A great menu at exceptional prices. Don’t be snobby, give it a try.

Same as anywhere if the weather is nice its boosts the experience. An abundance of duck and swan droppings, its a work of art keeping clear of it. Nice cafe on the grounds, basic but good.

This park is well cared for by Doncaster Council and the local helpers who undertake a lot of the work. The lake has fishing available for permit holders and the paths that go round the facility are in a good state of repair for easy walking in all weathers. The parlkand is well kept with plenty of facilities for children and dog walkers who appear to abide by the no fouling rules. The cafe is well used and although I have not eaten there it is always full indicating a good standard of food is provided. There are a number of sports pitches for all levels of sport and the other grassed areas are good for families to enjoy time together. Two small free parking ares are available and there are picnic tables and tiolet facilities.
