The formerly astronomically rich owners of this estate left it to the National Trust relatively recently: they simply walked away one day, it seems. So the Trust preserve and display it as if the former residents have only just left: even their sports kit is...More

We love to visit Brodsworth, the gardens are lovely and, of course, different each time, the house, though conserved, is also changing. Today was especially good; the Take 2 swing band were fantastic, there was a guided garden tour and the church was open!

there is a bus to the village and a short walk to the entrance of the grounds it would be easier to get a taxi as others have said if you are bothered about a walk.
